It’s time for another monthly update! This November has had many things have been disruptive to progress at Sans Vertigo.  Firstly, I have to address the elephant in the room: the Australian climate. It has been very hot and dry for most of Australia this year, extreme and frequent high temperatures have halted or delayed the fulfillment of some of our orders. It’s time for our October update! It’s always busy here at Sans Vertigo, and I’m always left feeling that there aren’t enough hours in a day to get everything done.  The past couple weeks have seen some hot, dry days. In the coming spring/summer season I may need to pay special attention to weather conditions before sending out parcels containing live goods. The heat is much less forgiving than the mild winters we have in Australia on fish, shrimp, plants and insects. As a rule, I avoid sending out live goods if temperatures are forecasted to have highs above 33C...

Spring is finally here and I am glad for the change in season. During winter we have to keep things heated or allow invertebrates to hunker down for an inactive season. Now that things are warming up, our invertebrates will be more active and hopefully we’ll have more invertebrates to offer after this coming season.  Just around the corner is the first anniversary of the Sans Vertigo online store! Another month, and it has been a doozy. I made a push to get a bunch of our work-in-progress stock available in store, and also update social media more regularly. We’re back! I've returned from our month long break and I’m picking back up on the pace with our invertebrates. During the break I travelled to Chicago and Savanna in Illinois, USA. There is an astounding amount of fireflies and insect life in Savanna at this time of year, which is summer in the northern hemisphere.
